A truly stylish outfit is never complete without beautiful jewellery. Although I am very minimalistic when it comes to my choices, I do appreciate the thought that goes into selecting the most perfect “icing on the cake”. After all, fashion and style are all about your choice of ingredients and the formula that blends everything together synergistically.
When I was a little girl my mum told me that the older a woman gets the more attention must be paid to the jewellery she wears. Basically, this meant that nothing but gold and precious stones should be worn. I admit, I break this rule from time to time because certain outfits feel more complete with costume jewellery, but, frankly, if I could afford the real thing all the time, I would be tempted to indulge more because I believe that no matter what your style is, there will be something to compliment it.
To prove that, I decided to create a look inspired by the 1920s, Madeleine Vionnet, bias-cut, floaty fabrics and art deco shapes. I found the perfect dress, gorgeous shoes, earring, clutch, perfume originally created in 1925 and lipstick that not only complimented the earrings, but looked very theme-appropriate.
The beautiful white gold and diamond bracelets and the charming princess cut ring that took the longest to select came from Anjolee, the US-based company known for their wide selection of customisable sparkling delights, from tennis bracelets, diamond necklaces, pendants to wedding, engagement and eternity rings.
Look closely and you will see that the shapes of each bracelet's links mimic the laser cut pattern of the shoes and the ring goes beautifully with the clutch creating a real statement.
If only every imaginary outfit could be magically transformed into the real thing overnight…
