“It is the colour the human eye sees when it looks at light which contains all the wavelengths of the visible spectrum, at full brightness and without absorption. It does not have any hue,” Wikipedia kindly informed me when I google “white”.
I loved the scientific sound of that. I also loved the fantasy and poetic mood of the description. Most importantly, it made me think of how something so hue-less can make us experience emotions as strong as love and desire.
So pure, white has always been one of the top choices of the classy and elegant colour palette. No wonder it is the signature colour of the Wimbledon – just a few days ago Federer was told of for wearing trainers that had orange soles, a small detail that could have been easily ignored, was, in fact, against the official rules. Perhaps, it was a clever marketing move because those Nike’s were sold out without 24 hours. Who knows…
My obsession and need for white is obvious – I do talk about it a lot on the blog and I certainly have a few white pieces in my wardrobe to enjoy during the warm seasons.
The only missing item are the jeans, though. I have been looking for something “easy-breezy” and stylish for a while and at this point the J Brand jeans boyfriends seem like a smart investment. Aidan will look good as the style isn’t clingy allowing the bodily fluids circulate freely, and isn’t too lose to make the hip area swing in the wind as if living the life of its own.
I sat there totally absorbed into the sparkling spotless whiteness of the newly discovered denims creating the looks in my mind. The white was so beautiful I suddenly found myself dreaming of having a completely white summer wardrobe… The head-to-toe load of pure gorgeousness created with the help of a few basic pieces that can be mixed and matched, from the perfect blazer to the most gorgeous bag. I did end up with three pairs of shoes, after all, it’s my ultimate dream – the pumps for pretty much any occasion, the ballerinas – for walks and work and the sandals for the beach and any form of blissful occasions of total relaxation.
