Lyndon jacket | Scarlet top | Paris trousers
“Seductive armour” was one of the references I picked from the Reiss Autumn/Winter 2013 press release because it reflected the way I felt about their latest collection that took inspiration from the Film Noir, opera, jazz, 1920s Paris and Juliette Binoche’ heroine in Three Colours: Blue.
Warwick jacket
The colours, a mix of soft pastel blue and rose, were from a dream land, but the razor sharp lines, decadent and deliciously autumnal chestnut and burgundy hues and luxurious fabrics promised protection from the elements and soul-warming feeling of endless comfort.
Together the two created a kind of fashion poetry that could be easily understood and then interpreted according to your own style and occasion, worn day to night, moved from the light into the shadow and remain your most loved and worn for many seasons to come.
Here I am not so secretly dreaming of Berri booties, shimmering sweater, sweet brooch that makes me think of winter berries and is so adorable, sweet and playful, Liza bag, gorgeous trilby, Marvin trousers and three dresses – Jemma, Smyth and Franky (can’t resist that brocade print!). So irresistible, just like all things Reiss.
