Feminine, sensual and sharp, just like those august evenings that make us think of autumn, but still reach for a beautiful silk dress, just one more time, holding onto every particle of summer resting on the skin like a delicate powder.
Vogue Italia, January 1973 (I am not 100% sure that this is the right photo, but it made sense to me…)
Inspired by the 1970s and a portrait of Anjelica Huston photographed by Richard Avedon, Akris Spring/Summer 2006 collection designed by Albert Kriemler was beyond any trends or time frames and perfect in every way, from the pleats and subtle bows, to muted colours of sand, aubergine and smoke to the gorgeous combinations of weightless silks and strong but soft leather.
Something beautiful to make us dream a little romantic dream… And hear that gentle knock as the autumn throws a handful of gold leaves into our window.
