Every Monday editorial that makes it to the post carries a certain feeling attached to it for I’ve always developed a nostalgic link between my memories and photos I somehow associated with them.
I bought this issue out of the blue whilst searching for the September Vogue and getting absolutely distracted by the cover of Harper’s. I saw Natalia, grabbed an oversized copy of the magazine and returned home happy. There, in a house we recently moved in, I sat on a floor in a half-furnished sunlit room, put little Oscar in my lap for a nap and began to read. It was the first issue of Harper’s Bazaar I’ve ever had.
A lot happened since then, but I still adore Natalia and now read Harper’s on a monthly basis for the magazine became particularly good after Justine Picardie took over as the new editor-in-chief making the publication more refined, intelligent and beautiful.
Of course, another reason for this story is my slightly clumsy attempt to connect the dots: Viva Model Management, the agency that has been representing Natalia Vodianova from the very start of her career, Harper’s Bazaar and the Self-Portraits exhibition brought to life by the fashion magazine and Viva London.
This week I want to celebrate beauty, share my love for fashion through the images and emotions they bring and dedicate the next five days to Viva London and its gorgeous models.
