Hands down, this editorial from the May 2002 issue of British Vogue is one of my absolute favourite Kate’s work. I think her and Corinne Day who photographed the story definitely had some kind of chemistry that made every shot unforgettable.
Last Thursday Kate Moss celebrated her birthday, so I wanted to publish the Freedom Child to celebrate the occasion and also let you know that, should you find yourself in London and are a fan of Kate, you can see an exhibition formed of 10 iconic images of the model from the age of 14 to 39 chosen by Russell Marshall.
A journalist turned artist, he spent months looking through the fashion archives selecting the most iconic photos of Kate to present at the Imitate Modern Gallery alongside a mini-biography he has written for the event.
The “Kate Moss: 40 - A Retrospective” exhibition is open until 15 February 2014 and admission-free.
