Campaign love: Hermes Fall/Winter 2013/14

This is most likely the only way for me to experience the snow this winter – by looking at gorgeous Hermes Fall/Winter 2013-2014 campaign featuring Iselin Steiro photographed by Nathaniel Goldberg and styled by Clare Richardson.

As always, every image is an essence of beauty and bliss and a wonderful way to preserve all the things I adore about winter – the sparkling ice, the fluffy weightless snowflakes and the wonderful calmness and peace the season always brings. The endlessness and eternity of the world and the timelessness of all things Hermes… So very perfect.

On a rainy day: Intimes sensations by Paolo Roversi

Beautiful sensuality captured by Paolo Roversi for Vogue Paris. A sweet Parisienne in a middle of autumn. Gorgeous cosy and chunky Pringle of Scotland, Marithé + François Girbaud and MaxMara knits, classic Isabel Marant coat, a silk barely there Galliano dress and satin Lanvin slip, all topped up with an Hermes fedora. I just want to be this girl… Or have all these clothes…

Timeless chic: Hermes Spring 2010

One of the habits I acquired after moving to England is the need to watch Wimbledon. Of course, I’ve done it in the past – I just never experience the itch that now seems to appear in June. I blame Federer. And Nadal. They are my favourites, the charismatic Gods who are passionate about the game and make it beautiful. I watch the match for the sake of seeing those two. I never played tennis myself, nor really felt the need to learn – anything of the running kind isn’t my thing.

Obviously I try to mark the start of every season with a blog post. The one before was about tennis-inspired fashion editorials and today’s story will be about collection that I will love for as long as my mind marbles allow me to.

Every time I see these looks I wish Gaultier never left Hermes. He had such a gift of capturing the effortless elegance and discreet luxury whilst inspiring and teaching the mere mortals like myself how to use and blend the simple colour palette, feminine shapes and modern accessories and create something absolutely stunning, unforgettable, flawless and timeless.

Timeless chic: Hermes 2006

Hermes Spring/Summer 2006 Ready-to-Wear collection and campaign were, by far, my absolute favourite ones in the entire history of Hermes.

The looks designed by Jean Paul Gaultier are FLAWLESS and, luckily for us, can be recreated with a few items any girl should have in her wardrobe anyway – a white shirt (and a shirt dress), a pencil skirt, classic trousers, a cardi, a plisse dress, tan leather accessories (with a splash of signature orange here and there), a fedora and a pair of ankle-wrap sandals or espadrilles. Perfect summer styling for the lovers of classic and sophisticated fashion.

Hermes Autumn 2012 campaign

Hermes campaigns are always a little bit about daydreaming with the images capturing the essence of the season – the warm red glow of the falling leaves, exiting beauty of the sparkling snow and the crispiness of the transparent air only disturbed by a cloud of soft steam floating above a cup of hot chocolate that tastes especially delicious after a long walk.

I am signing off early this week and although I promise myself not to do anything, my brain is already busy making plans… Start each morning by visiting style.com to see the latest collections from the NYFW, watch Priceless (again), find September issue of Vogue Paris, wear new shoes, write at least two posts, one is destined to be shared somewhere else (my new adventure – details to follow) and then dissolve into a sleepy cloud.
