Christmas gift guide: every shade of SILVER

I never thought of silver seriously. Although I absolutely adore and wear a lot of grey, I am more of a gold king of girl. Strange, isn’t it?

As I was working on my Gift Guides I thought of every colour but silver and was torn between two other options before posting the second instalment. None of the options were silver.

Why did I change my mind? Well, I stumbled upon a pair of charming Ted Baker bow shoes on NumberEight while I was actually looking for something by GANT. I stopped, looked at the shoes and suddenly thought of Christmas, twinkling silver stars we always decorate our tree with, sparkling snow and glistening frost.

Silver made sense. A lot of sense. It had the same glamorous impact was white but was better, looked just as luxurious as gold, but felt more elegant and understated. It became my winter fantasy filled with the soft glow of silks, coolness of silver leather, fairy tale of shimmering lace and festivity of glitter – all finished with a few crystals for there’s no winter without ice.
